Greetings to all of you! In this post, I will not only give the topics that will appear on these pages but the reasons why. My blog exists so I can talk about subjects that interest me. Hopefully, they will also interest you, but if they do not, don’t worry, these postings do not have a set theme. Remember, a blog is a place where people with similar interests can connect with each other. That is the real reason I’m here: to inspire, to converse.
Comments Are Great
Notice that I said that a blog is a place where people can connect with each other. That definition will carry over to my blog as well. Look at the bottom of this page. You will see a ‘comments’ box. This is the place where you can have your say! A comment can be of any length and of any style. It could be a corrections comment, a comment in which the reader mentions a correction that can be made to the posting. Although I naturally try my hardest to provide only the most accurate information, I am a human (unlike some of my book characters!), and I do make mistakes.
Another type of comment is a complimentary comment, where a reader basically says ‘great job!’ to the blogger. Obviously, these comments flatter the writer.
The third style of comments that I will discuss is constructive comments. In my opinion, these comments are the ones most useful to the writer, as they provide feedback to the blog writer on what the readers like, and what could be improved. Constructive comments are essential to the quality of future blog posts.
With that out of the way, now we can get down to business. As I said, this blog exists so we, people interested in related topics, can become acquainted and get to know each other. In the following paragraphs, I will let you know some information on what you can expect to fill the pages of future postings.
The Topics You Will Read About Here
Writing: One of my main hobbies; this is mainly going to be a writing-themed blog. Creating your own stories, or any other form of writing, can be an enjoyable, calming pastime. It has also been shown to release stress and anxiety.
Biking: Another great way to spend your free time, biking is not only great exercise, but it also gets you out in nature, which strengthens your immune system. In later blog posts, I will provide maps of bicycle rides I have enjoyed, and photos will be included from some of these rides.
Automotive: Vintage cars are one of the other things that bring me joy. Expect to find some vehicle-related tidbits on these pages, as wheeled things are what keep me rolling, so to speak.
So, there is a brief description of this blog and the topics that will frequent its postings. Next, I would like to tell you a little about myself.
My name is Henry Fitsik, and I am the author of a new science fiction book, A Month Well Spent. This story follows fourteen year old David and his father on an incredible galactic adventure, where they help aliens to protect their endangered kingdom from evil. Not surprisingly, I recommend the book to all of you, especially those who are like me: a teenager who wants a pure, good old-fashioned book, devoid of the negativity found in most modern literature. That was my goal when I set out on my writing journey: to create a story that kids of all ages around the world can read, and get something out of it.
Comments Are Great, Part Two
If you have not read it yet, I hope you do, and if you have, please write a comment in the box below, and tell me how you liked it. Remember, constructive criticism is an author’s best friend. So, I genuinely want to know what you thought; it will help me with any future books that might be released within the next few months (oops, I let that slip!).
Also, if you have any questions about this post, or about writing in general, make sure to write a comment, because I will try my hardest to give you an answer to anything that might be puzzling you. That response might come in the form of a reply to your comment, or I might have so much to say that it will be turned into a whole blog post. Whatever the case, I will do my best, and I hope you will be satisfied.
Well, that is about all I have to say. Although a hundred more topics will pop into my head as soon as I submit this to my website, those will have to wait for another day. Good-bye!
